Master your flash – indoors and out – in four-part speedlite shooting session where you get to shoot and process your images.
Day 1: Shoot with Rick and Dave Cross on location and learn how to use reflectors, diffusers and fill flash for great outdoor people pictures. In the afternoon we’ll process the photos in the studio/classroom.
Day 2: Shoot with Rick and Dave in the studio with speedlites and constant lights for great people pictures. In the afternoon we’ll process the photos in the studio/classroom.
Students should bring: digital SLR, zoom lens in the 24-105mm range, memory cards, and laptop loaded with Photoshop and/or Lightroom (you must know how to find your pictures on your computer). We’ll have reflectors and diffusers, but bring your own if you like. And of course, you’ll need a speedlite. Rick will have several Canon 580EX II speedlites, but your should have your own. Rick will also have Canon dedicated wireless controllers: Canon ST-E2 and Pocket Wizards.
If you are a Nikon shooter, bring your camera and Nikon speedlite and know how to set it.
After attending this workshop, you’ll see why Rick is known for making learning fun.
Rick took all of the images below with one speedlite.
